FAQ

Before you connect

Does this work in Claude web, desktop and mobile?

Yes. A custom connector is added once at the account level and follows you across Claude on the web, the desktop apps and mobile. Claude Code connects separately with a one-line CLI command.

Do I need to paste an API key into Claude?

Not for the connector. Claude registers itself with Getlead and sends you to a Getlead consent screen where you approve with your normal login. Claude Code can use either OAuth or a scoped key header.

Will Claude send email without asking?

Tools that send are declared as write actions, so Claude asks for approval before running them, and their descriptions tell Claude to show you the audience and copy first. Hourly caps sit behind that as a hard limit.

Which Claude plan do I need?

Custom connectors are available on paid Claude plans. On the Getlead side you need Pro or Ultra.

Can I give Claude read-only access?

Yes. Approve only the read scope on the consent screen, or mint a read-only key for Claude Code. Claude can then research and report but cannot send.
