What actually drives the Zapmail bill: bundles that reprice after 12 months
The meter is the bundle size, and the clock. Year one per-mailbox prices run $2.99 to $3.90. From month 13 they run $4.99 to $5.90, before extras.
Warmup is the other cost. Base mailboxes arrive fresh, so they need weeks of warmup before cold volume, or you pay extra for Zapmail's pre-warmed ones.
The real cost of Zapmail in practice
Sticker prices are the floor, not the ceiling. Here is the realistic annual math for common setups:

Hidden costs to budget for
Beyond the plan itself, these are the costs that surprise new Zapmail buyers:
- The month 13 reprice. Every bundle rises after 12 months, by 51% on Starter and 71% on Growth.
- Warmup. Base mailboxes are fresh. Pre-warmed ones are sold as an extra.
- Domain transfer terms. Full admin access is reported by a partner page, but domain transfer terms are not published. Ask before you buy.
Is Zapmail worth the price?
If you want real Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 mailboxes at a low year one price and can warm them yourself, Zapmail is strong value.
If you plan to keep the mailboxes past a year, price year two, not year one. And if you need to send now, add the pre-warmed extra or the warmup weeks to the comparison.
